Three keys to happiness: sound healing, gratitude, and journaling

Why are sound healing, gratitude, and journaling keys to happiness?

The keys to happiness can be found by purposefully slowing down and deeply listening.  And sound healing, a gratitude practice, and journaling all facilitate that process.

To increase happiness, we need to feel grounded, have our energy balanced, and be in a place where we can restore and heal on a regular basis.  The powerful trio of sound healing, gratitude, and journaling are different modalities that help to bring you to a place of contentment through balance and positive energy.

Singing bowls help us to balance and align our chakras, or subtle energy through the vibrational energy of sound. This helps to place us in the optimal place for healing and receptivity.

And what about gratitude makes you happy?  A gratitude practice helps us to listen deeply to the beauty around us that gets unnoticed. Gratitude is about recognizing both the big and the small things that make a positive impact in our lives.

Journaling is about deeply listening without the judgement of the logical mind.  Journal to reach deep emotions, clear old stories, and to enhance creativity.

A key to happiness is restorative rest – get it through gratitude and sound healing

Sound healing with singing bowls is amazing at balancing the subtle energy or chakras.

Singing bowls bring your energy into balance and alignment so that you can manifest more of what you want in life.

They activate the parasympathetic nervous system to promote restorative rest and healing. And when we have rested digestive, nervous, endocrine systems, we can feel happier.  This is because we’re not running on empty, which obviously doesn’t feel good.

And when we finally slow down to practice gratitude we move our awareness to the positive as opposed to the negative.  If we don’t pay attention, we may be vibrating worry and stress.

As humans, we tend to focus on the negative – this is likely what kept us alive when we needed to survive in the wilderness.  But now it just creates unnecessary stress. Embracing the present moment with thoughts of the bounty to be grateful for can promote feelings of happiness.

Journaling is an important key to improving your happiness

Combining journaling with sound healing and a gratitude practice balances these keys to happiness with a totally different way of connecting.

Journaling is a process of writing without an outcome in mind.  It’s about not editing and using the logical mind, but instead letting the subconscious speak as you put pen to paper.  And I do recommend actually putting pen to paper as opposed to typing.  It think that both can be effective, but there is something special about the process of writing that can get to deeper stories.

So when you’re journaling you are in the present moment without judgement – and isn’t that what we’re practicing in meditation, gratitude, and sound healing?!
